- Replace the link anywhere you already pasted a draft.
Privacy reminder
A correct URL still respects the profile’s privacy settings. Content may be limited for people who are not friends.
Test the profile URL from a signed-out browser session
Copy the generated profile address and open it in a private or signed-out browser window. This simulates what a visitor may see when they are not already logged in to your account. Confirm that the address leads to the intended profile rather than a search page, an old username, or an unrelated account. If the platform requires sign-in before showing profile details, note that behaviour; it does not necessarily mean the URL is malformed.
Check the profile's audience settings before sharing the link publicly. A visitor may be able to see the profile name and photo but not posts, contact details, or other information. Decide which information should be visible and adjust privacy settings through the platform itself. Do not assume that generating a link changes who can view the account. The link is an address, not an access permission.
If you change the account's username or public address, revisit every place where the old link appears. Common locations include email signatures, printed business cards, QR codes, résumés, staff directories, and partner websites. Test the new address after the change and update any QR code that contains the old URL. For printed materials that cannot be replaced quickly, consider using a stable page you control as the destination and updating its outgoing link when needed.
For business use, share only the profile intended for public contact and obtain permission before listing another person's account. Keep a record of the final URL and the date it was checked. The generator can assemble a link from the details provided, but the account owner must verify that the profile is correct, accessible to the intended audience, and appropriate to share.
If the profile is part of a professional introduction, open the link from the exact document or page where it will appear. A correct URL can still be broken by a line break, punctuation mark, or incomplete copy when pasted into a résumé or email. Test the final clickable link, not just the text shown in the editor. Ask a second person to open it on a different device before distributing printed or public materials.
